The College is fortunate to have the services of a team of extremely vibrant, dedicated and accomplished instrumental and voice teachers. Within the formal curriculum, Music is taught through to VCE. Across the Junior Years, all students are given a thorough introduction to the world of Music. The students learn basic musical skills such as listening, composing and performing. Extra curricular programs involving rehearsals and tuition are on offer to all students during each week of the school year.The full range of instruments on offer is – piano, guitar, cello, violin, flute, saxophone, clarinet and percussion. Voice is taught and there is a string ensemble, as well as an orchestra that is open to outside students. Throughout the year, there is a variety of lunchtime and evening concerts and music at College Masses, which showcase student talent and achievement. The Friends of Music, a volunteer group of parents and friends, provide behind the scene support for the Music Department, School Concerts and its programs.
