Raising Teenagers – Is it Possible?

A free three part facilitated parent and carer discussion forum:  Wednesday 9 – 30 August   –  6pm – 7:30pm

Raising teenagers in today’s modern age can be complicated, challenging and at times testing for families.  The world has changed dramatically in the last few decades with the pressures placed on young people and their families being more than ever before.  With the developments in social media and online interactions changing the way young people communicate and interact, and with growing pressure placed on young people in regards to their bodies and relationships, it’s no surprise that families are working with a range of challenging situations and behaviours, often leaving them feeling lost, isolated and out of control.

Raising Teenagers is a three part pilot program that brings parents and carers together in a discussion/support style group facilitated by Martin Gladman, social worker, counsellor and member of the Sacred Heart Wellbeing Team.  Martin Gladman has worked for over ten years as a Social Worker, and more recently in the last four honed his skills in counselling and
complementary-to-medicine therapies  Martin brings a wealth of experience working with young people and their families.
