Year 7 and 8 Healthy Hamburger Design Brief

This term the Year 7 and 8 Food Technology classes have been completing a Healthy Hamburger Design Brief. This involved investigating common ingredients that usually go into hamburgers and generating hamburger ideas, to then design their own. Students were required to write their own shopping list and had an opportunity to independently cook their own hamburger design in a practical lesson. Afterwards they evaluated how healthy their hamburger was, justifying their decision using the Healthy Eating Pyramid. Students were all excited to have an opportunity to cook a hamburger of their choice and I am extremely proud of their creations.
